Process Configuration Overview
Administrators use WMS+ and SAP Business One to control warehouse processes such as picking, receiving, transfers and production. Each process includes configuration options that define how WMS+ applies logic, responds to user actions and enforces system behavior. Configuration is managed through user-defined fields, system tables and the WMS+ Admin Panel. Configuration settings can be used to sequence pick lists, automate production receipts using barcode logic, group orders into wave-based workflows or enable real-time mobile fulfillment.
Configuration Scope
WMS+ supports process-specific configuration for:
Guided Picking: Define picking sequences to reduce travel time and optimize fulfillment.
DSD and Mobile Sales: Enable route-based delivery planning and live order fulfillment from handheld devices.
Production Receipt Automation: Use Simplate logic to populate inventory receipt fields from scanned input.
These configurations often interact with broader WMS+ features such as label printing, bin logic or batch tracking.
Admin Responsibilities
Admins are responsible for:
Defining and maintaining process-specific configurations.
Testing workflows before deployment.
Aligning settings with operational processes such as wave builds or guided routes.
Reviewing configuration after system updates or changes to UDFs.
