Performing Inventory Adjustments OUT

Performing Inventory Adjustments OUT

The Inventory Adjustment Out process in WMS+ is used to remove stock that cannot be sold, used or repurposed. Typical cases include disposals, damaged goods, expired items or corrections after cycle counts. The workflow creates a direct Goods Issue in SAP Business One, assigning a Reason Code and providing batch traceability if applicable.

Note: For details on pallet handling behavior and item type differences (batch-managed vs non-batch), see the Receiving and Inventory Intake Overview.

Workflow Summary

  • Entry Point: Inventory → Inventory Adjustment-Out

  • Source Document: None (scanned or manual entry).

  • User Role: Inventory control specialist.

  • Outputs: Inventory Goods Issue in SAP Business One and optional Crystal Report printout.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Access the Inventory module

From the WMS+ main menu, click Inventory, then select Inventory Adjustment-Out.

Inventory Adjustment Out can be performed using two methods: scanning or manual entry.

Scanning workflow:

  • From the Inventory Adjustment Out screen, scan the item barcode.

  • If the barcode includes GS1 data, such as quantity, batch number, or serial number, WMS+ auto-populates the Goods Issue screen, allowing a Reason Code to be selected.

  • If the batch is not included, WMS+ prompts for a bin location to confirm the source.

View Bin Contents and Pick Item

Once a bin is selected, WMS+ displays its contents. Each row displays the product, batch, quantity and expiration date.

To pick non-palletized stock, enter the required quantity directly in the Quantity field, adjust using the plus/minus buttons if needed, and click Done.

If the bin contains palletized stock:

  • Click the pallet row to pick the entire pallet. A Picked tag will appear.

  • Or click the orange box icon to pick a specific quantity from the pallet.

The item row then appears on the Goods Issue screen. Click Done to confirm the selection.

Review Pick Details and Select Reason Code

On the Goods Issue screen, the picked item displays with bin details. Click the row to adjust quantity, enter the Reason Code, update batch info if needed or trigger label printing.

  • Click Complete. When prompted, “Are you sure you want to complete this trip?”, click OK.

  • WMS+ displays the Goods Issue Complete screen. If configured, a Crystal Report layout may be triggered. Click Done to finish.
