Inventory Movement and Management
A practical guide to moving, storing and correcting stock inside the warehouse
Why This Section Matters
Inventory Movement and Management builds on the Receiving and Intake workflows covered in the previous section. After items enter the warehouse, they must be placed in the correct bins, moved when locations change and corrected when physical stock does not match SAP Business One.
The workflows in this section help users complete putaway, transfers, lookups, counts and write-offs with clear prompts for bins, batches and quantities. Each action updates SAP Business One so inventory stays accurate across the warehouse.
What You Need Before You Begin
The following must be in place before Inventory Movement tasks can begin:
A mobile device logged into WMS+.
Bin locations defined in SAP Business One.
Items available to scan or search in their assigned warehouse bins.
Any required SAP Business One documents relevant to the workflow (such as Transfer Requests or Counting documents).
A working printer if pallet labels or bin labels are required.
Next Up…
After internal movement is complete, stock may need to be picked for orders or prepared for outbound processing. The next section, Picking and Outbound, explains how WMS+ guides users through guided picking, wave and zone picking, staging and shipping.
